Aon is looking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst (P&C Reinsurance)

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our office in Toronto, Canada. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.

What the day will look like

  • Analyze, edit and model complex data and make appropriate decisions regarding analyses
  • The Senior Analyst will assist in coordinating analysis priorities with appropriate broker teams
  • Present results of analyses to brokers, clients and subscribers, prepare presentations as needed
  • Consistently produce high quality analyses in timeframes agreed to or provided
  • Takes initiative on internal projects to improve processes, products or services
  • Consistently produce above average quality and quantity of work
  • Manage analyses and projects for team with client from start to finish with limited guidance
  • Responsible and accountable for quality and accuracy of all analyses on the team

How this opportunity is different: The Senior Analyst will work with broker team, analytics team, and other team members (technology, financial) to identify client needs and develop additional opportunities related to products and services.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

  • 2 to 5 years of actuarial experience, preferably in P&C, Reinsurance and/or Consulting roles
  • Dynamic Financial Analysis or Economic Capital Modeling experience a plus
  • Successful completion of at least 4 Casualty Actuarial Society exams
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems, think creatively, strategically and analytically
  • Accuracy, thoroughness, and strong attention to detail
  • Strong ability to understand and perform mathematical and statistical calculations
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office suite of products
  • Programming / Database / SQL abilities a plus
